ORA Pipeline Meeting – 7 February 2015 – North Bay

Ontario Rivers Alliance (ORA) will hold a Special Pipeline Meeting on Saturday, 7 February 2015, in the Auditorium of the North Bay Public Library, 271 Worthington St. E., North Bay, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Lunch will be provided, complements of TransCanada.

Gary Houston, Vice President of the Energy East Pipeline, for TransCanada, is our keynote speaker, and will make a presentation about some of the finer and more technical details of the Energy East Pipeline.    This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the pipeline, ask questions and to take part in a discussion.

All participants must register at Info@OntarioRiversAlliance.ca by Friday, the 23rd of January 2015.

Other Stakeholder Consultations Taking Place in January:

OEB Stakeholder Forum

ORA has been placed on a Stakeholders Panel that is scheduled to present at the Ontario Energy Board  Stakeholder Forum on Thursday, the 29th  of January 2015, at 10:45 am.   Overall the Forum will take place, beginning on the 29th of January from 9:00 to 5:30 pm, and on the 30th from 9:00 to 12:45 pm.  This Forum will take place in at the Hilton Garden Inn Ballrom, 2400 Alert Road, in Ottawa.

The purpose of this forum is to give members of the Province-wide Stakeholder Group the opportunity to make brief presentations that specifically address the province-wide impacts of the TransCanada proposed Energy East pipeline.  The forum will be open to the public in attendance.  Additional details about the stakeholder forum will be posted here soon.  If you would like to attend a Public Information Session or the Stakeholders’ Forum you can find more details here.

If want to participate in one of the Ontario Energy Board’s upcoming community discussions but are unable to attend in-person you can view and listen to the presentation, and provide written comments and questions live and online.

You can tune in to any community discussion online starting at 6:20 pm. The community discussions will then start at 6:30 pm and end at 9:00 pm.

Part Two Community Discussion materials now available online. 

The materials that will be shared at the community discussions being held as part of Ontario Energy Board’s Energy East Consultation and Review are now available online. You can find these materials, including the OEB’s technical advisors’ Preliminary Assessments, the community discussion Agenda and the Discussion Guide on the Resources page on the OEB’s project website (ontarioenergyboard.ca/oebenergyeast).

The Part Two community discussions begin this week. Details on the dates, times, and locations, and how you can participate online are available on the Attend a Meeting page of the Ontario Energy Board’s (OEB) Energy East Consultation and Review website (ontarioenergyboard.ca/oebenergyeast).
