“Overall the FIT program is dysfunctional. It is based on false assumptions. The questionnaire starts with a statement of spin that “FIT has been very successful” when there is widespread public opinion that the exact opposite is true, that FIT has been a huge failure. Clearly, a proponent led process which is so lacking in transparency and accountability is not in the public interest and should be cancelled. Conducting a survey from a false premise shows insincerity and asks the public to provide input to questions which avoid central issues. As a result framers of the survey are not taking a balanced approach to gathering public input. The non-standard technique in the survey stands as an outrageous example of manipulation by the authors so the results that will be gathered risk providing limited information and conclusions which may not be credible.”
