Wasdell Falls Generating Station, Severn River

SEVERN TWP. – The Wasdell Falls 1.6-megawatt hydroelectric power plant is back under construction and expected to be operational by the fall, says the project’s development manager.

“We are well into construction right now. The base slab has been poured and two walls of the structure will be poured next week. Most of the excavation is finished and we are getting the structure in. We hope to be operational by this fall,” said Joe Slater, development manager for Coastal Hydropower Corp., which, with Enbridge Inc., owns Wasdell Falls Power Corp.  See full article here.
